Thierry Bruet, born in Paris in 1949, has been apainter and sculptor for over 40 years. He offersopulent, classically inspired paintings that are witty,satirical, and finely observed, using traditional oilpainting techniques. One of his perspectives leanstoward caricature and the grotesque, the othertoward elegance and refinement.He has exhibited his works, amongst others, underthe patronage of the French Ministry of Culture, atthe Thiers Museum under the patronage of theInstitut de France in Paris, and at the Institut duMonde Arabe in Paris.He has also held solo exhibitions in Paris,Luxembourg, Palm Beach, London, Vancouver, Ibiza,and Palm Beach, as well as participated in variousinternational art fairs.Thierry Bruet regularly creates commissioned artworks for leading French interior designers, includingAlberto Pinto, Frédéric Méchiche, and Pierre-YvesRochon.
